Getting over Hurt
It is easier said than done - I agree. But it’s possible.
How many times have you used this dialogue – “I got hurt”. I am sure everyone of us used this at least once in our Life. Sometimes to an extent that we trade our inner peace to it.
Particularly when it comes to Relationship – we feel worthless when hurt. Isn’t it?
What do you do when someone hurts you physically?
We tend to guard us immediately unless we have the pain to bear it.
But, what happens when we are hurt mentally?
Let me frame this with a small scene.
A boy is deeply in love with a girl. So deep, that he can do anything and everything for the girl. He was doing it for years and the good thing was he never expected anything in return. He always dreamt of getting married with her and taking care of her like a queen. One day he came to know that the girl is going to a different place. When she mentioned that to the boy, he was shocked. He asked - Are you not in Love with me? She replied – I never had that kind of emotions to you.
His Family and friends were feeling pity about him. They were concerned what would happen to this boy? what if he gets depressed? would he spoil his career and ambitions?
When his friend asked – Are you sad?
He replied – Certainly not. I am absolutely fine. Not only that, but he made a statement
"The girl lost someone who was deeply in Love and I lost a girl who was not in Love".
In this incident the boy was trying to guard himself with his values and morality. He did not allow the girls decision to affect him. In fact he respected the girls decision and accepted the situation as it is. That clarity was his tool.
The more tools and strength you have to guard you – the better your reaction would be.
But what if we are not equipped with those values or wisdom? Isn't there any other way?
There are definitely ways to handle it, which we would look into in the next week's post.
Now, The question is do you want to equip yourself? improve yourself?
If yes, then you need to work on yourself.
We can’t play a blaming game or expect the whole world to change -- without bringing a change in ourselves, in our mindset, in our lifestyle, in our approach.
How much you agree to it? Stay connected for the practical ways to overcome hurt.
